![]() ![]() Just tell them you want the James Bond package." In MAD Magazine they did a spoof of the series called "Knut Rider," where the damsel in distress asked David Hasselhoff "Where do you find a car like this?" and he replied "Any Pontiac dealer. You could probably say that the original is a long Pontiac commercial, although it certainly felt like less of one. I like the voice of KITT in the commercials vs Val's voice in the show so far. Sure it's okay for a few novelty cars, like the Plymouth Prowler or the Chrysler PT Cruiser, but they're doing it with everything these days, and that's no good.Īhight wrote Wow.so far it's a long Ford commercial. This is a trend in automotive design that I've hated for a long time. Oh Wampa-One tell us, how was it? how good were the chases ?Ī doubt i have, Ive seen it many times when seing an american TV series, what does 9/8 central mean? Wampa, Thats a hoodless Trans Am with a TPI unit on it, one of the other pics shows a 671 Weiand blower on a small block Chevrolet engine, must be for show, cause it would never fit under a factory hood in any car.Īnd in case there was any doubt who the "promotional consideration" was furnished by I'll have to check it out (and keep on eye out for that Crown Victoria ) There was something with a Corvette engine in the garageįor me, It'll be starting in 15 minutes. I enjoyed it as well, I hope it does come back as a TV-Series, brought back fond memories of the ‘80s (for better or worse) I tivo'd it but haven't gone back to look.but weren't the old KITT's in the garage? It probably would have held up a little better had they left the engine in the truck, I told my wife, this will more than likely become a new show, they just didnt call it a pilot. I enjoyed the show, what scared me was the way the GMC Yukon folded up. I'm always not sure if something should be a 2** or a barely used 3*** W-O.let me know if you disagree with any of the star ratings. This had the same cheesy acting and some of the special effects were just as poor as the original show. ![]() As a kid I used to watch it every week when they originally aired. That is kind of what it seemed like since it was not really a neatly wrapped up ending. I wonder if they will make a TV-Series out of this like they did with Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel. For a while it was an commercial break every 5-6 minutes, quite distracting. ![]() Since you are east coast and I am midwest, was it over for you an hour before me?Īnyway, I had never seen a tv program with that many commercial interuptions. ◊ did you already have captures? I was going to work on them now, but since you've already added vehicles I guess you are maybe a step ahead of me. Being a Ford movie I would guess a real one. There was also the Cobra but I wasn't sure if it's a real one or a kit. The only background cars i think i didn't add (because i wasn't sure of the model) were the Volvo S(something-probably 40), Ford L or LN series truck and not sure if the Land Rover LR2/Freelander was shown long enough to capture. So long as it goes out in a blaze of glory, I'm ok with that. Maybe they'll wreck one later on in the show What? Out of all those Fords, not a single Ford Expedition? This show sucks!. as cool as it is, theres no way that car can hold a candel to the original KITT. I have to admit that is a pretty stylin' set a wheels but I think it would be better suited for somthing other than knight rider. Ingo wrote You will not provoke a riot, it's a fact: the original is always better than some fake-bullshit. It's annother example for a ridiculous try to re-animate a great historic name with a semi-lookalike modern car. We had this discussion at annother pic of the 2008 Mustang Shelby. You will not provoke a riot, it's a fact: the original is always better than some fake-bullshit. I don't want to start a riot here but, personaly, I prefer the old KITT (the trans am) this just dosin't look futuristic to my eyes.
